Happy Birthday Olivia! January 6, 2010
Our little pumpkin is finally here! She made her arrival on January 6th, 2010 at 3:39 p.m. She weighed 6 pounds, 15 ounces. I had no idea really how much having a child changes you. She is so amazing and I cant stop thinking about how blessed I feel that she is ours. It's sort of like the feeling you had on Christmas morning as a child, I feel like that every day now. Even when she is crying and I am exhausted, I still cant help but want to give her a big ol' kiss and love on her.
She has her daddy's hair and my mouth and eyes. The jury is still out on who she really favors.(I think she looks like me! :)) She is so much more than I imagined and I am so excited to spend the rest of my life with her.

39 Weeks Photo Shoot
Tonight me and Justin went and had our pictures made in a studio. First time ever doing that, usually we have them taken outdoors. It went much better than I expected. The girl who worked with us was really nice and had a good personality, so it made it easy.
I was pretty sure I was going to laugh the whole time or pee my pants from laughing so hard, neither of which happened, thank goodness. We picked out a few shots we loved and got prints of them. This is one of them. That is actually just a picture I took of the actual print. We didnt buy any on CD because it was kind of ridiculously priced(250.00 for 15 shots...no thank you).
I have to share this lovely moment that happened AFTER we did the whole shoot! Me and Justin went and ate while the pictures were processing, so we get back and I sit down in the studio and I look at his zipper, which is all the way DOWN. I started laughing histerically and did not want to see the pictures because I just knew that it was pretty much a hilarious disaster. Luckily, it didnt show up in the pictures, but I was pretty sure that I would never stop laughing. I needed that laugh.

Olivia's Nursery [Photos]
My due date is getting close! I thought I better go ahead and post this now if I ever want it to be posted. I have a feeling I am gonna be a busy girl when she arrives. Thats kind of obvious, I guess. :)
We had a fun time decorating and putting her nursery together. I wanted it to be a room that she could grow into, instead of being all baby-ish. So, we went with the "Lizzie" design by Cotton Tale Designs. I bargain hunted in every store available online and got most of the items 30-40% off the original prices. I love cute things, but I am a pretty thrifty girl and hate paying full price. So, here are the pictures. :)
Justin added wainscoting in her room and we replaced the carpet with Oak laminate flooring. They both were done as weekend projects and only took about 2 weeks. We decided to paint her room a light sea blue to match the fabric in her bedding. It is a nice contrast against the reds and pinks.
This is her rocking horse that her papee(My dad) made her from scratch! He is very talented. He painted it to match her room and added an "O" for her initials.
Justin bought me this glider chair as an Anniversary present for our 5th Anniversary this year. I bought some pillows that were meant to go in the crib and used them in the chair to make it match everything else.
This is a dresser I refinished and painted white. I bought some pink knobs at Target and they matched her room perfectly! Best part, it only costed around $15.00 to refinish the dresser entirely and it was the one I used when I was a little girl. :)
This is a little drawer box I picked up at Michaels craft store and painted it. I am going to use it to put her little trinkets in, until she is old enough to do it herself. :) I always loved little trinket boxes when I was little.
The red and white picture frames I painted to match her room. The flowers on the wall are just some decals I found at the dollar store.
This is a little hairbow box I painted today. Picked up the box at Michaels and used some Acrylic paint I had that matched the colors of her room. I am sure she will use it for something else besides hairbows one day.
Her sock friends are waiting on her to arrive so they can play! Justin found these at Sam's Club. They are so adorable!
Her musical mobile and crib.
Her clothes hamper
Her crib quilt hanging above her crib. Until she is old enough to use it we are using as decoration to take up that big wall.
Her toy bag that is hanging on the wall next to her crib. When she gets old enough we will move it to where she can actually reach it to put some toys in.
